OSError: [Errno 121] Remote I/O error

Here is the error. I am using the test code from here https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-sgp ... iring-test

I have the correct wiring and my devices show up after doing i2cdetect -y 1

@brdwlm,

It looks like you almost got things going. The SGP30 even spit out one valid serial # line before it crashed.

Are you using 3.3v out from the Pi for the sensor Vin?

What version of PiOS are you running? Is it the latest (was Raspbian) now PiOS Aug. 2020 release?

Are you on the latest CircuitPython setup on your Pi?

There was a library update for the SGP30 on github in August. That should have come thorugh the pip install if you recently did it.

Thanks for the reply, I am stepping down the 3.3v to 1.8 for VDD and Hotplate voltage. I have built two boards using the SGP30 which are nearly identical. For some reason on this board VDD was reading 2.8v with everything on while my old board read 1.8 on hotplate and vdd, still not sure why. I will try updating, Thank you!
