SD CARD access on arduino MKR ZERO

by seidler on Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:05 am

Hello,
I'm looking for complete documentation for the adafruit_sdcard library, or (even better!) perhaps an example of write/read to the SD card for an arduino MKR ZERO.
Thanks!

The main page of the docs is here, which includes an example of a basic write to an SD card:
https://circuitpython.readthedocs.io/pr ... en/latest/

For the MKR Zero, the SPI setup line will need to refer to the SPI pins that are dedicated to the SD card:
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
 spi = busio.SPI(board.SD_SCK, board.SD_MOSI, board.SD_MISO)

It is likely also worth reading the 'storage' section of the CircuitPython Essentials guide:
https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpytho ... on-storage

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I had seen the discussion at the first link that you posted, but it appeared to be specific to the SD card add-on board for other adafruit products so it wasn't clear how to generalize. If/when I get it to work, I'll post a code snippet here.
Thanks again.
