how to wire raspi with 2 ads1115's

by jfranklyn on Mon Nov 16, 2020 2:09 pm

Hello all,
I'm using a RaspberryPi 4B and Python 3.7. I'm trying to wire 2 ADS1115's that I've purchased from you. I've attached the fritzing diagram to show what I'm trying to do. I've wired one of the ADS1115's to use address 49. The other is the default address 48. I can get i2cdetect to recognize one ADS1115, but not both. I've tried switching the SDA, SCL wires with no luck. Could you point me to an example that is using 2 ADS1115's.

I'm trying to use up to 8 analog sensors. I ass-ume I had to use more than 1 ADS1115 to do this? If not can you point me to a wiring diagram using 1 ADS1115 and more than 4 analog devices?

The Raspberry PI in the attachment is not a 4B. I could not find a 4B device in the fritzing libraries, so I had to use a Pi 3.

Thanks

The SCL and SDA lines should be shared (all connected together). I2C is like a party line - you can have more than one thing attached to the same pins, but each needs a unique address.

Move the orange/yellow wires to connect to the gray/purple wires.
