Hardware flow control and RS485 support on the Metro Grand C Moderators: adafruit_support_bill, adafruit

Hi,
I am using the Metro Grand Central. When I tried to configure my UART with hardware flow control I got the following error:
ValueError: RTS/CTS/RS485 Not yet supported on this device

I also need RS485 support for the project I am working on. Can anyone tell me when flow control and RS485 support is likely to be added?
Is it likely that the library will support any pin for the control signals or will they use the related SERCOM port pins?
I don’t believe all the required SERCOM pins are bought out to external connectors.

We have no immediate plans to add it. If you'd like to try adding it yourself I recommend joining the Discord (https://adafru.it/discord) to get help getting started.
