Hello,

I’m hoping to buy an Adafruit Gemma. Before I do can you tell me if the Gemma can be coded to produce different outputs please? I’m new to this, sorry! So, for instance, Gemma is configured with three button triggers: 1 activates three flashing leds, 2 flashes just green leds, 3 flashes just red leds…

The Gemma should have no problem with that sort of project. Be sure to get a Gemma M0 as the older model is deprecated and doesn't work as reliably with modern USB.

It depends what you want. The Gemma has 3 I/O pads. If you use NeoPixels (https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide) you can drive them with 1 connection, leaving 2 for triggers. If you need more than that you can get a different controller board (a CircuitPlasyground Express/Bluefruit or some sort of ItsyBitsy/Feather. Another alternative is to use an I2C based expander like the Seesaw (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3657) which will give you all the I/O you probably need, including 7 digital I/O pins and a NeoPixel pin.
