The audiomixer in CircuitPython has levels but doesn't have position (balance) for mono sounds applied to stereo or multi-channel output? Is this in the future plan for audiomixer? Perhaps I can hack this for now with the same sample playing twice but I wonder if I can synchronise those...

We have no plans for it. CircuitPython issues are the best way to track it.
