Neo Trinkey Thony Error

by stephencross on Fri Apr 09, 2021 9:19 pm

When trying to connect Thony to Neo Trinkey, I'm getting an errors:

Adafruit CircuitPython 6.2.0-rc.0 on 2021-04-06; Adafruit NeoPixel Trinkey M0 with samd21e18
WARNING: Could not determine epoch year (function takes 0 positional arguments but 1 were given), assuming 1970
WARNING: Could not sync device's clock: no module named 'rtc'
WARNING: Could not validate time: no module named 'rtc'

I've tried 6.2.0 and 6.2.0-rc.0

Any ideas?

Thanks

I think this happens in MicroPython. There is a CircuitPython mode that doesn't try to sync the rtc I believe.

Thonny assumes (by mistake), that all CircuitPython boards have clocks. I'll fix this in the next release (https://github.com/thonny/thonny/issues/1760). Until then you can ignore these messages.
