Metro M4 Express not showing up as CIRCUITPY

by parsko on Fri Jun 04, 2021 10:31 am

Hi,

I have my Metro M4 Express plugged in via USB, but I don't see "CIRCUITPY", only "USB Drive" in my windows file explorer.

I have updated the UF2 bootloader to v3.13.0

I have updated to circuitpython v 6.3 (I tried v7 also, same result).

I just deleted everything, then re-updated the UF2 and CP again, still only see "USB Drive" in file explorer.

I am able to write code to code.py, then save the first time. I can see print statements being written out to REPL. But, if I make a change (for instance, adding one extra blank line, then save) the REPL breaks, and I can no longer see the REPL. I have to reset the board to be able to see REPL again.

I have tried multiple USB port configurations, all with the same result.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

-Parsko

Sounds like your file system may be unhappy. From the repl you can reformat it: https://learn.adafruit.com/welcome-to-c ... 2978456-23 (Save what you can before you do this.)

Thanks Tan! Your link worked great. I can see "CIRCUITPY" once again.
