Mu serial monitor not working on M1 Macs?

Post by gallaugher »

Hi! I just upgraded to an M1 Mac & installed Mu. The CircuitPython in the lower left shows a red 'x' through it (see below), and while I can use "load" in Mu to load up code.py and can save to update code, I can't seem to open the serial monitor. Error also show. Any ideas? First thought is this is an M1 Mac issue - has anyone else used Mu successfully (or run into problems) on an M1 Mac?
Thanks!

For folks that find this first.

From Neradoc on Discord:
until the next Mu beta, there's a potential solution here: https://github.com/mu-editor/mu/issues/ ... -848952043
