HalloWIng M4 Express is not working

Hello!

I ordered my Hallowing M4 in March 2020. It remained unopened until today.

When I connected it to my Macbook and turned it on, a Spooky Eye screensaver did not appear.

Yellow charge LED blinks like a stroboscope.
Red #13 LED slightly fades 3 times in a second.
Four sides RGB's constantly lights in red.

Double bush on Reset button has no effect.
Long push on Reset button only switches off #13 LED.

The device itself is not shown in Finder (like USB storage or something else).

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix that?

Short update:
I connected board to my old Mac (mid 2012).
Now I can see HALLOWING device and 3 files inside.
RGBs are green now.

There are 3 files inside (see screenshoot).

Are you seeing a folder named HALLOM4BOOT?

HALLOM4BOOT appears like a 'device'. Content of that device (folder) you can see on the screenshot. But I can see that only on my old Mac (mid 2012, El Capitan)

I think that topic can be closed.

I installed the latest UF2 bootloader and M4 EYES Firmware. Now it works as expected. Strange that it was not working initially. However, the documentation says: "The HalloWing M4 board should arrive ready-to-scare. Connect a battery or USB cable, move the power switch to the “on” position, and after a few seconds you should get a blinking eye"

No worries. Just glad it's working. It may be that back in 2020 they were shipping with different out of the box setup? Not sure. But at least it's all working now. Have fun!
