Help with crickit, cpx bluefruit and python
I have a robotics class and we have been building robots. We started with CPX's, crickits, and makecode and now are using CPX bluefruit, Crickit, and circuit Python. I am trying to do several thing actually with sensing. I am really struggling with figuring out sensing like a light sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, etc. I am struggling with finding code examples as well as documentation that is understandable to a lay person and a student.

The Circuit Playground Express has a light sensor with CircuitPython example code.

The ultrasonic sensor depends on the model, but we do have code examples:

Re: Help with crickit, cpx bluefruit and python
Thank you for the reply. I guess I should be a little more specific. We are using a crickit to drive the motors and so getting to the pins isn't always easy. I was reading that getting an ultrasonic sensor to work with the Crickit isn't possible and that the pins on the CPX must be used. Is this true? I was also hoping someone would have example code of using an optical sensor and a simple encoder wheel. I see adafruit sells an encoder wheel that is compatible with the tt motors.

You will still have access to the serial pins (RX/TX) necessary to use following the ultrasonic sonar sensor guide.

There are a lot of crickit specific guides on the Adafruit learn pages.

You could adapt the Spinning Disc Step Sequencer from the M4+Crickit to the CPX+Crickit.
