Unable to write to ItsyBitsy M0 Express anymore

by Iceweasel44 on Sat Jul 18, 2020 10:09 am

I am connecting to the M0 Express through a raspberry pi running Raspbian. I was able to read and write before, using Mu editor. I plugged it into my Windows 10 machine at some point to grab some code I had sitting on there, and that worked fine. Once I returned to the Raspberry Pi, I was unable to write to the ItsyBitsy anymore. Could still read, but I now get a 'Read-Only file system' error when I try to write to it.

Looking for a way to write to it again from my Pi.

This happens sometimes. Maybe the board was ejected before a write finished, corrupting the file system?

Try resetting the flie system: Go to https://learn.adafruit.com/welcome-to-circuitpython/troubleshooting and read the section titled "CIRCUITPY Drive Issues".

Running storage.erase_filesystem() did indeed get it working again; thanks!
