adafruit_onewire library missing

by nrdb on Fri Jul 24, 2020 10:35 am

Hi,
I have a Adafruit ItsyBitsy M0 I downloaded and upgraded to version 5
This is the line from the REPL.
Adafruit CircuitPython 5.3.1 on 2020-07-13; Adafruit ItsyBitsy M0 Express with samd21g18

I then downloaded the adafruit-circuitpython-bundle-5.x-mpy-20200724.zip after extracting the files
I copied the lib/adafruit_ds18x20.mpy file into the lib/ directory on my ItsyBitsy.

When I enter the REPL
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
>>> import adafruit_ds18x20
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
  File "adafruit_ds18x20.py", line 36, in <module>
ImportError: no module named 'adafruit_onewire'

I can not find the adafruit_onewire library. How do I fix this?

You need to copy the adafruit_onewire directory from the library bundle to CIRCUITPY/lib. You'll find the bundle at https://circuitpython.org/libraries. download the 5.x version and unzip it. Inside you'll find a lib directory that contain the libraries, including adafruit_onewire.
