by jackieh111 on Sat Jul 25, 2020 5:25 pm

Hi

On boards manager I don't see a IstsyBisty M4 Express board - is this normal or what board should I use?

Thanks
Jackie

The first step is to make sure your Arduino board support packages are up to date. See: https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing-adafruit-itsybitsy-m4/setup.

Do you see the "Itsy Bitsy M4" ? I'm pretty sure that the same board as the "IBM4 Express"; it's just some naming confusion.
I *think* the only board where there actually exist "Express" and "non-Express" at the same time is the Circuit Playground, which comes in "Classic" and "Express" versions.

If you dont see the IBM4, it means you have to install the adafruit samd board package, perhaps the adafruit json board manager url, and maybe even the Arduino samd core.

It should show up as "Adafruit ItsyBitsy M4 (SAMD51)"
