Hello, congratulations to a top uC-Board.
I want to use it for a longer term datalogging and the 2MB SPI Flash is a bit on the small side for my application.
As I do not want to sacrifice the form factor, I would like to change the built in Flash to a bigger one.
Does someone know the specific type of memory chip used on this device (something GD25xxx16 but there are a ton of different variants about - I guess it is 120Mhz and USON8(3x2mm).
Thanks and best regards

Another option is the ItsyBitsy RP2040 which has 8M of flash.

Hi Dave,
I totally missed that one. Cool Itsy-Bitsy as well. I will give it a try.
However, as I have my code completely up and running on the IB-M4 and just run out of memory quite regularly, it would be great to upgrade the SPI-Flash (something about 16 - 64M is on my mind). Could use an external memory chip but that would need more space and some wires that could break or loose contact during the application.
Thanks again
Rudi

You could move to an ESP32-S2 board. The Feather https://www.adafruit.com/product/4769 has 16M of flash and 8M os PSRAM. There's no ItsyBitsy yet, but the TinyS2 https://www.adafruit.com/product/5029 is smaller but only has 4M flash and 2M PSRAM. Heh.. "only" on a 18mm x 41mm board :) That's just a bit longer than an ItsyBitsy.
