Dear all,
I received my ItsyBitsy M0 Express some days ago.
I wanted to install the newest CircuitPython release and before that, I did an UF2 bootloader update (downloaded form the Circuitpython website).
After the bootloader update, I did install the Circuitpython software by dragging the downloaded file to the ITSYBOOT drive.
Then the board loads the software, restarts and ... no CIRCUITPY drive is showing up. However, #screen /dev/tty.usbxxx works and I can access to the board.
I tried another cable and another OS (I am using MacOS, but tried CentOS and Win10), but CIRCUITPY drive does not pop up, no matter how often I try to install it.
I posted this issue on the adafruit discord and after some messages, someone said I should try to install the CircuitPython software from the SEEEDUINO XIAO board. After installing this, CIRCUITPY drive appears directly (SEEEDUINO XIAO software seems not to use the flash, said a user, after answering the result of the test).
Should I request a change of the board, am I dooing anything wrong or do you have any ideas how I could solve the problem and get the right software on the board?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Maurice

Re: CIRCUITPY drive not showing up
Maurice,
Since you are on MacOS and the ItsyBitsy board appears to responsive after the CircuitPython update (you can access the tty). Maybe you can try running a `df -H` from Terminal with the ItsyBitsy plugged in and confirm that the device is mounted? Running Disk Util would be another option.
What version of MacOS are you running?
What versions are you at for the bootloader and CircuitPython release on the ItsyBitsy?

Re: CIRCUITPY drive not showing up
mikeysklar,
UF2 bootloader version is v3.13.0 and the CircuitPython version is 6.3.0.
My Mac is running MacOS 11.4.
With 'df -H', /Volumes/CIRCUITPY is not displayed, so I can not mount it manually with diskutil.

mikeysklar,
I received a new board today and this one works without problems.
Might the board be broken or something.

Re: CIRCUITPY drive not showing up
Glad to hear the new board works without issue.
Is it running all the same versions bootloader / CircuitPython?
If you had purchased the original just days ago and it is not usable with the same versions we can do a return for you.

Re: CIRCUITPY drive not showing up
I got a new one from the store where I purchased the original one.
And yes, I used the same uf2 bootloader update and circuitpython version.
Really strange…
