Order #2730328-7743485348 Defective ItsyBitsy boards
I received several defective ItsyBitsy boards in my recent order. I have 7 that are not powering on at all. I was working on a project that requires the ItsyBitsy to be soldered onto another PCB via pin headers. After finishing the project I plugged in the ItsyBitsy to program it but the onboard LED did not turn on and the board was not being recognized by windows. Thought I might have just messed something up during soldering but I went through all the boards I received and realized 6 more of them were not powering on at all. Same issue, no response from the LED and not being recognized. I tried several different usb cables and different usb ports but no luck. I took some pictures of one of the boards but not sure how much that will help with determining the issue. I have been using these specific boards for a while now and have never had this issue.

These 6 have not been soldered? Or - are there any that are showing this issue out of the box?I went through all the boards I received and realized 6 more of them were not powering on at all

Correct, after discovering that one wasn't working I went through and opened every board to see if any of the others were not working. So there are 7 total, only one of which was soldered. The other 11 boards in my order all powered on normally.adafruit_support_carter wrote:These 6 have not been soldered? Edit: I see how my original wording was a bit confusing. Basically I opened one board, soldered it, it didn't work so I went through and opened all of the other boards to test them.

Thanks for clarifying. Yep - just wanted to make sure you are seeing this on boards out of the box vs. ones that have been soldered, etc.
Do you still have the bags the boards came in? The one with the white sticker on it with product name, bar code, etc. If so, can you please post a photo of that sticker. That'll help us on our end with tracking this issue.
For the boards that are not working - let's just replace them. Send an email to [email protected] with a link to this thread and they can send you 7 replacement Itsy boards.

Awesome, yes I still have the bags for all the boards. I'll take pictures and post them here tonight when I get home from work. Thank you

Thanks. We'd also like to RMA those non-functional boards so we can check them out here. Are you in the US? (asking because can only RMA within the states)

I am in the US and happy to send them back. I was trying to see if there was a pin that didn't get soldered or something but didn't see anything obvious. Also I only have 6 to send back because I kinda completely destroyed the one that was soldered onto one of my main boards while trying to desolder and remove it.

Cool. Thanks. No worries about the one that was already used. We'll just replace that one along with the others. But let's go ahead and RMA those other 6.
In your email to support, ask for an "RMA FORPHIL" to have the 6 remaining Itsy's returned.
Thanks again!
