Hi,
Sorry, I am totally thick when it comes to this device - Adafruit Matrix M4. It doesn't help that I've been ill (guess with what...) and I have brain fog. Anyhow,
Got an Adafruit Matrix Portal M4. Followed the "adafruit-matrixportal-m4" guide to the letter (I think) and it seems to work, and the PC, Windows 11, detects it as CIRCUITPY after I started it as a boot device MATRIXBOOT. Copied fine and seem to do whatever it does. The neopixel flashes green once every 5 or so seconds. The PC detects it and installs it as a drive. All the files and settings in the guide are copied over and rebooted. Arduino is also installed and configured without error.
The problem is - it is not detected as a serial device, but an Arduino ABD, but not COMx.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? :-(
One day, I may do something correctly.
Thanks a lot, and sorry for being a thicko.
P.S. Only started this thanks to pink pixel purses.... enough said.

Re: Adafruit Matrix Portal M4 no COM serial port
Can you post screen shots of what you can see from the device manager in both "boot mode" or when the board is just plugged into your Win 11 machine.
Which version of the Arduino IDE are you running?
