I just started to try and use an older Metro M4 Express Beta but can't find the info anymore on my PC, Adafruit nor anywhere else.
If someone can provide it that would be wonderful!

Re: Metro M4 Express Beta
Dave,
I remember a different procedure to get it to work. Are you saying that it now follows the same as a regular Metro M4?
The one I have is in black so I thought that it would be different since I remember having to install a boot loader on the board.

Re: Metro M4 Express Beta
I'm saying that guide should apply. It's a Metro M4 Express. There are occasionally some cosmetic differences (like a different colour solder mask) between batches. Boards usually come with a bootloader installed. I do recall that the early Metro M4 Express "Beta" didn't.

Sorry but nothing works with this variety of Metro M4 Express. You'd need to contact Lady Ada about how to get this particular board to work.
If that can't be done I guess I'll just toss it.

Have you had it working in the past?

Re: Metro M4 Express Beta
FWIW, I also have a black-soldermask "Metro M4" with BETA on the back, and it still works fine (set as "Metro m4" in the Boards menu, from a Mac running Arduino IDE 1.8.13) (and it also shows up as the USB disk...)

You didn't answer my question.
Anyway. Does it enter bootloader mode if you double press reset?

Re: Metro M4 Express Beta
all metro m4, even 'beta' have working bootloaders. doubleclicking the reset button should launch the bootloader manually and the neopixel will light up green (USB OK) or red (USB failure)
