Metro M4 Express & Sumotoy's RA8875 library

by KB1HFT on Sat Feb 16, 2019 1:13 pm

Hello:
I have a sketch on a Mega 2560 Pro Mini that draws jus' fine to my Buydisplay.com ER-TFT070-5 7" tft panel via Sumotoy's RA8875 library. However, I can't get it to compile for the Metro M4 Express: the library is written to be configurable via #defines for several different board types, but not for the Metro M4 Express.

1) Has anyone deciphered how/if one can get the that library to compile & execute to run on a Metro M4 Express?

2) Does anyone know of _any_ RA8875 library that will run on an M4 Express?

Thanks in Advance!

This is the first time I've heard of that particular library, so we don't know anything about how it works. Your best bet would be to check with the developer to see if they have any plans to support the SAMD51.

Our own RA8875 library should be compatible:

It doesn't do anything fancy or platform-specific. All the communication with the RA8875 is plain SPI.
