Metro M4 Airlift Lite WiFi Connection

by jeffs1212 on Sat Mar 21, 2020 7:13 pm

I'm following the Airlift setup guide;
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-met ... ?view=all#
Using Arduino IDE.
Libraries loaded. Board identified OK: Adafruit Metro M4 Airlift Lite (SAMD51)
Blink working OK.
For the first WiFi Test: ScanNetworks, I'm running the WiFiNINA example code with the following result:
WiFi Scanning test
1.2.2
Firmware OK
MAC: A4:CF:12:11:7D:FC
Scanning available networks...
** Scan Networks **
number of available networks:0
Scanning available networks...
** Scan Networks **
Couldn't get a wifi connection

I have a good 4.15V on Vin.
I'm thinking I'm missing something basic.... Suggestions for things to check?? Thanks

You are using the right page.

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-met ... -connect-2

Did you setup a secrets file?

Is your wifi using SSID/Password as enterprise based encryption is not supported.

For the "ScanNetworks" sketch, a secrets file isn't necessary, right?
I did try the "WifiWebClient" sketch with the secrets file setup for my wifi network.
Last message in the serial monitor is: "attempting to connect......"
For my wireless router settings, I have WPS Enterprise and WPS personal, or none.
I was using WPS Personal and changed it to none. Still no networks shown when running the ScanNetworks sketch
