Parts for Timer

by Gummi on Wed Oct 21, 2020 3:09 pm

Hi I have a project to build a timer.
Timer should start a 5 minute countdown and then starts looping first a 12 minute countdown then a 3 minute countdown and then start the 12 minute countdown.
There should be a countdown display and two different lights indicating if it's currently in 12 or 3 minute countdown.
End of countdown should be signaled by an audio signal.
Should also have a restart and stop/pause button.
What parts do I need to order. Also needs to be portable so work off a battery.
Thank you
Kind regards
Michael

I would probably choose a Feather M4 Express https://www.adafruit.com/product/3857due to it's price/performance. You'd have the option of C++ or CircuitPuthon (or other languages). It aslo has builtin battery support including simple changing via the USB connection.

For display you could use a Featherwing, maybe a 4x7-segment display (great for time) https://www.adafruit.com/product/3088or an OLED https://www.adafruit.com/product/2900. In either case a couple buttons are easy to add.
