Grand Central SD Card Reader in Arduino

by jeecrombie on Thu Mar 25, 2021 11:31 pm

Hello.
I have one of the older grand central beta units, and would like to use it to log data to the onboard sdcard.
I cannot get the card to be recognized.
Is there a trick to setting up this reader since it uses a special sercom? Is there an example?
I was hoping to use this for a flight on Saturday, but the sand is collecting in the bottom of the hourglass.
the sensors seem to read just fine, the sdcard is giving me fits.
Thanks in advance.

Did you try different sizes (2GB,8GB) and format options (FAT16,FAT32,EXFAT)? MBR vs GUID partitioning? Some SD controlling chips are picky about this.

I had to use a formatted card and change the chip select pin since it was onboard and not the same setup as used in the adalogger.
Thanks for the info!
