Enabling OTA for GRAND CENTRAL M4

by Solcellespesialisten on Wed Mar 31, 2021 3:14 am

Hi,
Is it possible by default to do a OTA upgrade of the firmware on the GRAND CENTRAL M4?

If so, can you point me to some example code.

If not do you have a suggestion on what chip we should implement on an external board, and how we should connect this to the GRAND CENTRAL M4 to enable an OTA upgrade functionality?

There is not OTA option on the Grand Central M4. The Grand Central does not have any wireless communication builtin.

We do have some mention of unsupported OTA possibilities around the nRF52 to connect to our Bluefruit LE Connect app and Nordic's tools.

This option is not actively support nor recommended by Adafruit, and we are still working on making this as safe as possible for users via our Bluefruit LE Connect application. Use OTA DFU at your own risk knowing you can brick your device and may need a Segger J-Link or similar device to regain control of it!

The MatrixPortal M4 might also be an interesting device to experiment with OTA usage. Again, not yet supported.

Just curious... what kind of project are you working on?
