Metro not recognized by computer

Post by johncarlsn »

I cannot get my new arduino metro to sync with either my MacBook Air or dell laptop. The original arduino uno syncs right away. Isn’t the metro supposed to be compatible with the arduino uno?

You mean an Adafruit Metro? Which one?

What do you mean by "sync"? Connect as a USB/Serial device? Show up as a port in the Arduino IDE?

It is the Adafruit Metro. It does not show up as a port when setting it up while the Arduino Uno shows up automatically.

OK, which metro? The Metro 328?

It should be compatible, but you might need a driver for the USB/Serial chip as I think that is a newer chip than used on the UNO. See https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-met ... -ide-usage.
