Metro Mini not uploading

Post by joann32780 »

I have read the posts on the metro mini not uploading. I have two metro minis and neither will upload. I'm running Windows 10 x64. All of the correct drivers are installed. Uno is selected as the board. The uploader times out after 10 tries. I have the correct com port selected. I bought two nanos and the program uploads to them fine.

Any suggestions. BTW I bought the Metro minis several years ago and I have kept them in stock until I had a project to use them on.

JoAnn

Enable verbose messages during upload in the Arduino IDE’s preferences, try an upload, and post the output from the debug window between CODE tags please.

Do you see anything in the Device Manager when you connect the Metro Mini using a known-good USB cable?

That’s a good sign.

The “programmer not responding” issue usually means the IDE is having trouble connecting to the COM port. The page from StackOverflow lists several things that have fixed it:

Hi

I have the latest AVRDUDE I have tried both old and new FTDI drivers. I could not find any reference to a Metro Mini on the suggested forum a lot
was directed to the UNIX operating system. Tried multiple suggestions that were on the forum. Still no RX TX lights on the board

These Metro minis are the only adafruit product that I have had a problem with.

Does a manual reset while the IDE is trying to upload have any effect?

I tried that and there is no effect. I even tried working with a Windows 8.1 computer with all of the drivers loaded and still the same results.

Thank you for trying it.

Let’s check the driver details: are you using the VLSI driver or the SiLabs CP2104 driver?
