Quiic Connectors on Grand Central ?

Post by BrynParrott »

Now they are back in stock I was about to order a couple then I looked closely and found there are exactly NO quiic/Grove connectors on the board; just a row or two of standard arduino style pin connectors. But nothing to plug into them.

To me, breadboard is not something I want to do. Seeed studios (gotta love 'em) once used to put out a line of products having loads of their Grove connectors on an arduino shield; but now I find they no longer seem to be available.
Those things make wiring things together such a breeze !

So, why don't Adafruit put out a shield that contains a bunch of quiic/stemma connectors all in rows. Why not make the quiix/stemma plugs in a range of different (longer) lengths ?

Now, I want the extra resources that are provided by the Grand Central M4 MCU; but once I get one what can I do with it to connect up sensors and whatnot ?

You could use a cable like this:

and plug the male ends directly to the GC headers.

It looks like Sparkfun has a shield:

There are also various adapters that might be useful, like this one:
