Last my Bootloader after updating ESP32 on Metro M4 Airlift

Post by powersoft »

I update the esp32 according "Upgrade All-in-One ESP32 AirLift Firmware"
I use a MacBook Pro. Installing the new software was in a glance.

But now I missing the Bootloader, when starting all is dead. Don't see a serial port and no boot directory after resetting.
The status led is also not blinking.

Onley the power led is on?

Is my Metro M4 Airlift Lite dead, and can it trow a way?

Is there a way to get the Bootloader on the chip (AMD51)

Thanks for any help.

If you double press the reset button on the Metro, can you get the BOOT folder to show up?

No the engine is complete dead. I have bought the SEGGER J-Link EDU - JTAG/SWD Debugger and flashed a new boot loader. Now is all working perfect.

Cool. That works too.

If you can recreate what originally happened to corrupt the bootloader on the M4, please post details here. The bootloader should be protected, so it's very difficult to accidentally overwrite it.

The M4 is different than the ESP32 on the Metro. The M4 is what your PC sees. The ESP32 is being used as a peripheral attached to the M4.
