Hardware , Maker MakeCode, JACDAC ?

Post by FrankSchmidt »

I see when downloading MakeCode programs in Maker (such as for Adafruit Gemma M0) that there is an option given for JACDAC supported hardware also. I see that there is also an extension for JACDAC in Maker and that there is a Microsoft web site inviting design and engineering inclusion of JACDAC into products. Does Adafruit make JACDAC supported hardware for MakeCode ? Does anyone know of such products for sale; that we could experiment with in Maker with JACDAC ? I see a new cable option, not the old stereo jack system which we once used with "old JACDAC' , does anyone know if this is just a "C" type USB, or other ? Thx.

@FrankSchmidt,

You are on the thread included in the product page going back to Spring of 2021.

What has changed is that we now sell a MakeCode sync came (micro-B) that has JACDAC support. You can use a PyGamer or PyBadge with this sync cable. No USB-C. Make sure you are running the arcade makecode beta.
