CPX microphone with high noise level

Post by Aoyama_PROD »

Hi.
MEMS Microphone on a CPX returns the high level of noise and only picks my voice when I speak very loud close to the microphone.
It seems that the baseline level is around 100. (my room is quite silent, actually).
I am wondering the baseline suppose to be around 0 like the following video.

Here is my simple code.

And the graph from the Make code desktop version.

My environment is; Windows 10, MakeCode desktop app, CPX (bootloader: update-bootloader-circuitplay_m0-v2.0.0-adafruit.7)

Do you have any idea?

I'm getting the same results as you did. I'll look into it on the MakeCode github to see if there is an issue about it, or if this is just the noise level to be expected on the mic. Here's an idea of a similar result in CircuitPython and the Mu plotter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_d_wBUyOq8
