Data logger to console without logging to file?

by V2man on Thu Nov 14, 2019 3:52 pm

Is there anyway to set data logger to console ON without writing to the MAKECODE/log.cvs file?
I cannot duplicate the results I get with the data logger with console log. There's nowhere to do the equivalent of set data logger sampling interval to 10 ms

Eventually the size of the file exceeds the capacity of the MAKECODE drive and I get error 0x3C6.
I really don't want to keep emptying the file using: overwrite file "log.cvs" with " " by monitoring its size or using remove file "log.cvs".

How do you erase log.cvs?

I need a data logger to file on/off which does not exist.
After downloading Makecode uf2 I can delete MAKECODE/log.csv but then the variable I am data logging shows 0.
Pressing reset button once and then again restores log.csv file and its larger which means values continue to be written during the time period where it did not exist.
