powering the clue

Is it acceptable to feed power to the clue from the edge connector instead of the battery or usb connectors? As long as it is guaranteed 3.3v at 600ma?

According to this discussion https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/can-i-bypass-my-ap2112-regulator/, you can as long as you don't have USB or a battery connected. You should guarantee a bit more than 600mA (650 seems to be indicated) due to back current through the regulator.
