The marked leader Garmin strongly controls the sensor stream of their devices from sports devices to the Garmin connect mobile app to Garmin connect in the web. It is difficult to intercept the datastream for own projects.

I thought, that is great, but it is only a demo. An Adafruit IO example could demonstrate the use for practical applications.
