Hi,
There are some projects that want font/Arial-16.bdf.
I cannot find a download location for it.
Please tell me where it comes from.
Thanks for your help,
Russ

Thanks, Dastels.dastels wrote:There's a copy here: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Le ... lock/fonts
As a service to those who follow:
I couldn't figure out how to download this file from github, and I could not find the zip for the PyPortal Alarm Clock which almost certainly contains it (although I am moderately sure it must exist somewhere) so I went Old-School.
I did the following:
- Click the font filename in the file table;
- - you will be tempted right-click/Download Linked File - forget it - this is not a link to the file, it is a link to a page that displays the file in a text box.
- In the next page, you see the file contents in a text box.
- - Oddly, there is no "download" here either.
- To the right of the text box's title there is a "Raw" button. Click it.
- The text changes from syntax-coloured to plainsong.
- Select the lot and copy it.
- Open a text editor - I am using a Mac, so I opened a terminal window and started vi. This will also work on Linux. Windows folks will know what to do...
- Paste the 7,366 lines of the font file into the editor and save as Arial-16.bdf.
- Copy it to your CIRCUITPY/fonts folder (you might need to create the fonts directly - it goes at the top level beside the lib folder.)

In retrospect, I could have linked you to the bundle link from the project guide: https://learn.adafruit.com/pages/15335/ ... d?type=zip, but it contains lots of other stuff.

Dave, I hunted around for that, couldn't find it. But thank you - I'll load it up and have a tinker.dastels wrote:In retrospect, I could have linked you to the bundle link from the project guide: https://learn.adafruit.com/pages/15335/ ... d?type=zip, but it contains lots of other stuff.
