happy birthday

if you've not done so already i would consider replacing the nicad backup battery, they have a tendancy to leak all over the boards. I was still able to get a replacement from Roland last year so your best bet is to talk to them first or find a alternative method of battery backup. iirc its self charging (dont quote me on that tho) so it may not be as simple as putting an alternative battery type in there.

hey phono,

thanks for your note, I've already found a replacemant backup battery, Sanyo N-SB3. I think this is the original part.
I take it apart and clean all the PCB in ultrasonic washers. I want this machine like new.
I gave the front- and backpanel to my friend and he will take care about the paint job and another friend do a new woodcase for me... the old one is totally broken :(
at the moment I think about individual outputs and a full MIDI implementation. (I know, it's perhaps a sacrilege... but I want it with MIDI)

maybe once it's finished I'll tell you here :)
