1 clock input wants 4.951mhz how do I hook a crystal to one input. Microcontrolers useualy have 2 & caps I am looking to use the ads1251

So their are chips that output that on one of the pins the data sheet said cristal. Humm I will look around.

I noticed 4 in mouser that are clasified as osilators in stock rohos compliant & 5v.

I don't know what datasheet you are looking at. The datasheet here:

http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ads1251.pdf

does not have the word crystal on it. It says:

CLK:
Digital Input: Device System Clock. The system clock is in the form of a CMOS compatible
clock. This is a Schmitt-Trigger input.
