Adafruit Sensirion SHT31-D - Temperature & Humidity Sensor

In the Adafruit Sensirion SHT31-D - Temperature & Humidity Sensor, you haven't used any level shifter as you did in the Adafruit SGP30 Air Quality Sensor Breakout board. Can you explain, why you haven't used level-shifter in SHT31 sensor board?

The SHT31-D works from supply voltages between 2.4V and 5.5V.

Its SDA and SCL pins don't need to be protected from 5V signals if it's also running from a 5V supply, but it can also operate at 3.3V when connected to a 3.3V microcontroller.

The only cases where you'd need a level shifter are the ones where you power the SHT31-D at a different voltage than the microcontroller. Assuming there's a good reason for doing that, you can add an external level shifter between them.
