Mini thermal printer button

by chill_ballins on Sat Nov 09, 2019 4:34 am

Hi,

I am just about finished with the mini thermal printer project but I've hit a wall. I originally bought the 16mm illuminated momentary push button for aesthetic reasons but its a little different from the one in the tutorial. Does anyone have any tips as to how this button should be soldered? I have added pictures of the button I have juxtaposed with the one the tutorial utilizes.

The tabs labeled + and - in the lower photo connect to the LED, the same way the ones in the upper photo do.

The other two pins correspond to the Common and Normally Open pins in the upper photo. That button has no Normally Closed pin.
