What connector is this?

I'm trying to use a 5V 2A power bank to drive a small LED matrix at low brightness and I'm having trouble figuring out what this is. Am I missing something?

I've searched for "USB to molex" and "USB to small molex" and all that and get absolutely nothing, just USB to 4 pin molex with the angled corners and round pins or a black male fan connector of some sort. What's a reasonable way to connect this to USB?

This was the setup I was hoping to be able to do, using a Pi and https://github.com/hzeller/rpi-rgb-led-matrix:

Thank you.

The most I can tell you is that they're keyed wire-to-board rectangular housings.

There are a bajillion different kinds of vaguely similar but incompatible connectors. It's one of the ways manufacturers limit third-party compatibility without pulling any fancy or expensive proprietary tricks.

Your best chance of finding a match will be to measure the size and spacing of the connections and look for matches in the Digikey parts selection matrix:

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/fil ... -board/317

Digikey does an exceptional job of showing product photos and providing links to mating connectors. You'll have to start reading datasheets for specific details eventually, but the more options you can eliminate, the less of a slog it will be.

we think its

but you are really best off splicing an existing cable like
