TLP5110

Post by nineseventytwo »

I purchased an Adafruit TLP5110 Lower Power Timer, a while ago. I'm getting around to using it. I followed the guide, and things were working, but now the timer has a very quick repeating flash on its timer LED. I have cut the trace for the Pot. I'm only measuring 1.9vdc coming from the DRV pin. I have 3.7vdc coming into VDD. My project is an ESP-01, powered after pushing the TPL5110, only to connect to Wifi and publish an MQTT message. Then the code toggles the Done pin to turn the power off.

Make sure that setting up the DONE output is done as early as possible in the code. If it takes too long, the TPL can go into a weird state where it flashes like that. I've had it happen with CircuitPython code that took too long to setup DONE.
