I purchased this RCG color sensor (PRODUCT ID: 1334) which I intend to use in a very small box. I am limited in space and want to make the sensor smaller to squeeze into the box.
This may be a stupid question but what are the two big holes at the top for? Is it ok if I cut off this area of the sensor (see dotted red line in attachment) to make it smaller. Will it still work?

Re: Color TCS34725 question
The holes are for mounting. There is no active circuitry in that part of the board, so you could cut it off if needed. Just be careful not to cut into the traces that run just below the red line you have drawn.
