Can u control 2 bi and 1 uni directional motor using L293D ?

Hey i am working on a project for making a soccer bot and for that i need to control 3 motors : 2 bidirectional and one unidirectional(for the kicking mechanism) can any1 tell me weather a l293d can do it??? thanks....

One L293D will control 2 motors, unidirectional or bidirectional. If you have three motors, you will need 2 L293Ds.

You should check out Lady Ada's motor shield. It will do exactly what you want. The kit price is very reasonable, or you can use the schematic to build your own from scratch.
