Silver solder paste plastic seringe problem. it doen't melt.... on the old hot plate I have.
It cranks all the way to 400 F on the dial.
It could be cooler maby the element is weaker?
It is not the normal solder paste I thought to get the nice silver stuff...
What Might I be doing wrong?
A dot of it on the pan doen't even melt...

I want to inject and tap the paste on the pads but doen't seem to do that...

Silver solder has a MUCH higher melting point than regular lead-based solder. According to wikipedia, the silver solder with the lowest melting point melts at 217 degrees C, which is 422 degrees F
