Hi. I have plugged one time my pitft on the wrong GPIO pins, and now when Raspbian starts it show a grey screen. I have tried to fix it by reinstalling ready-to-use raspbian images in the SD card but still giving me the grey screen. I have a Raspberry Pi B+ (The first version)
Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you remove the PiTFT, does the Pi successfully boot up?
Do you remember which way you plugged it in wrong? Was it one pin off? Which direction?

Hi. The Raspberry Pi boot without problem. Let me explain how i plugged the pitft
In the image you can see how should the screen be plugged (up) and how I plugged it (down)

Re: A problem with Pitft 2.8 inch resistive screen
I see. Thanks for the pictures!
Plugging in that way would have created a dead short between 5V and GND. I can see it possibly damaging the Pi or the power supply.
Also, you would have applied 5V to some of the PiTFT control pins through the connection to ground. That could have damaged the controller chip on the PiTFT.
Is the screen *gray* (that is, partially lit) or is it *black* (that is, completely off)?

Hi
During boot, the pitft is white during 20 seconds (as normal). Then, instead of showing the text, it turns to grey and nothing happens.
As I said, the Pi isn't damaged, so it would be the pitft.

So, is there anything to do? Can I replace the board?

Yes, you'll have to replace it. Unfortunately, the damage is due to user error, so I can't replace it under warranty.
