Raspberry Pi Thermal printer in Windows..? [Driver problem]

by felixlee0530 on Mon Nov 20, 2017 2:01 pm

Hi all,

I recently set up my Raspberry Pi 2 for a thermal printing machine by connecting the thermal printer sold from Adafruit and setting as a network printer.

However, when I try to set this printer in my Windows laptop, I faced a problem that I cannot go through.

As you guys already know, using a Mac OS has an advantage that it can just set ZJ-58 in just a minute. However, in order to configure ZJ-58 (thermal printer) in Windows OS, I need to install Bonjour Printing service for Windows. So I searched the web and installed the program.

However, the problem is shown here. I was fortunate that I could see ZJ-58 at the list, but when I clicked NEXT and tried to configure, it told me to find a driver.
I looked at the list, but Zijiang ZJ-58 was not there..

How should I do to manage the ZJ-58 driver and finish the configuration? In Mac OS, it just detects the printer and automatically finishes the configuration, so it wasn't a matter.

Any help will be truly appreciated. Thank you.

Try the 'Generic' setting. I don't think the thermal printer does anything out of the ordinary.
