On/off switch for project

Post by Cactusflyr »

Looking for simple on off touch switch for 3.7v, appx 2.0a device. Considering the at42qt1012, but it looks like it starts at high power, then shifts to low power? Was also looking at push button power switch breakout....Id number 1400 but need it to be silent...no click?

Also...need to solder wires to the input output power gnd, etc as this will enclosed in shrink tubing for the device...possible?
Any suggestions?

How much current does the switch need to control?

The at42qt1012 is a logic-level switch. It can't switch 2A by itself. But you can use the output of the at42qt1012 to control a transistor to switch the higher current. For 2A, you would need a relatively beefy transistor. Since you are operating at 3.7v, the TIP120 would work.
