Thermal Printer Guts Reference Design

Post by ncipriano »

I ordered the thermal printer guts off of the adafruit site and it works just as expected with an Arduino and the libraries provided, I am very pleased. I have some questions about the hardware and was wondering if their is a reference design for the thermal printer guts board or a schematic available for reference? I am guessing the main circuits are for printer motor control and providing printer power. Does the ttl/serial interface from the Arduino get passed directly to the printer or is something happening on the printer guts board? Is their non-volatile memory other then the eeprom with the test image on it? Thanks for any information that can be provided.

We don't make that one, and I'm afraid we don't have any schematics or production information for it.. just the user manual.
