About this product:
Raspberry Pi 3 - Model B+ - 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 with 1GB RAM
https://www.adafruit.com/product/3775.

Hi I'm informatics engineer but total new to raspberry stuff... I read an article about the different between Raspberry and Arduino Raspberry is SoC Arduino with an OS Linux like, Arduino no OS...
Wondering about this specific model... pointed above... requires also a separate buy of and screen? or Can I connect this to my Mac to program it?
Here is my goal:
I would like to have a permanent screen showing maybe customized RSS feeds, New E-mails, Orders that I have placed, The Time, the weather, etc... therefore I want to customized this.. I was thinking in a LCD big screen...
But for the model, I need a screen, which one do yo recommend?
Thanks.

All versions of the Raspberry Pi are full-scale Linux computers. Plug in a keyboard, mouse, and display, and you can fire up a text editor and start writing/compiling code while surfing the web for references.

The Pi3B+ is the newest version, with the fastest microprocessor and the highest power requirements.

A RasPi can work with any HDMI display, but we also have dedicated small displays in our PiTFT line:

Those are all separate purchases because, in general, a display costs more than the RasPi itself.
