Raspberry Pi 3B+ won't turn on

Post by honathan123 »

Hello,

I purchased a raspberry pi 3B+ on April 17,2018 (order 1741702-7176019987) and when I went to set it up, it will not turn on. I installed the latest version of Raspian onto a SD card and put it in to the Pi. When I plugged it in using the recommended power supply, the PWR light just turns to solid red and there is no green light nor anything outputted to the display. I have tested the new SD card in Raspberry Pi3 B and it boots up correctly. I have also tested the SD from the 3B that I know works in the 3B+ and nothing happens on the 3B+.

Do you know of any reason why there would just be a solid red light and the Pi will not boot up?

Below are some pictures of the solid red light both with the HDMI, USB Mouse, and USB keyboard plugged in and then also with just the power.

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks
