Keyboard project -- 12 position flat scrolling wheel switch

Hi Forum.

I'm looking for a flat, 12 position scrolling wheel switch, kind of like the volume knob on old gameboys and walkmans. A display window would be nice, but a tactile clicky feeling when turning the thing is

I'd like to use this as a selector for function keys (F1-F12) to save myself some space on a handheld keyboard / slate i'm working on.

I might do something similar with the page up / page down keys by using a rocker switch or something, and i'll likely use a 5 way switch for the arrow keys and scroll wheel.

The big idea is I want to be to do mousing and keyboarding, comfortably, while standing. For the mouse, i'm already using a blackberry trackball and some index finger keys, but i'm running out of space.

Any hints?
